The South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG) provides command and control for assigned Air Guard units. The SCANG’s operational units are the 169th Fighter Wing and the 245th Air Traffic Control Squadron, which provide combat-ready forces to the National Command Authority and various support to state authorities in the event of natural disasters or civil disturbance
